From soaps to 80s sitcoms, General Hospital alum John Stamos and Days of our Lives’ Jackée Harry have done it all…almost. Now, the two have joined forces for a brand new animated series from Marvel.

Iron Man and his Awesome Friends will premiere on Disney Junior on August 11, 2025 and stars some well-known voices. Stamos (Blackie, GH) broke the news on Instagram with a photo of himself alongside his animated Marvel character, Howard Stark.

This isn’t the first time a soap star has broken out into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Former All My Children stars, Michael B. Jordan and the late Chadwick Bozeman, both played Reggie on AMC, respectively, before starring together in Black Panther.

While several soap stars have also appeared in DC films and series, another former soap star who made it big in the Disney realm is Mark Hamill, who got his start as Kent on GH from 1972-1973. While he’s best known as Luke Skywalker in the Stars Wars franchise, Hamill also lent his voice to Arnim Zola in LEGO Marvel’s Avengers.
