Man oh man, that was one long renovation! But, finally, a dozen years after The Young and the Restless’ Sharon burned down the Newman Ranch during her last bipolar breakdown, Victor

is ready to unveil his and Nikki’s new and improved home for his wife.

The week of November 4, the Black Knight moves his queen into position on the chess board — blindfolding her, no less — so as to increase the element of surprise. Then at last, Nikki is allowed to open her eyes, and voila! The Newman Ranch, restored to its former glory. Even Eric Braeden, who plays Victor, says he was moved to tears by the sight of his and Melody Thomas Scott’s longtime set having been redone.

As you’ll see in the photos below, on hand for the occasion are the couple’s kids, Nicholas and Victoria, Victoria’s back-from-the-dead daughter Claire, and Victor’s daughter with former spouse Ashley, Abby, and her newly minted fiancé Devon (which has to be awkward, considering that his future father-in-law just screwed over his sister Lily in business — and is now providing the couple with a wedding venue!).
