Coronation Street fans see Megan Walsh’s wicked web of deceit threaten to unravel next week, when Leanne Battersby catches her out in a lie. Leanne’s suspicions are piqued when she overhears her flatmate making a flirty phone call – and it’s not with Daniel Osbourne.
With Leanne now on the case, is it only a matter of time before she also exposes Megan’s dark secret of who she’s cheating with?
“Dating Daniel is Megan’s cover story for her and Will’s inappropriate relationship. Without her fake romance in place, it wouldn’t be long before the shocking truth emerged,” our Corrie source explains.
“When Leanne suspects Megan is playing away, she decides to do some digging – what will she find?”

So far, Sam Blakeman is the only one who knows about Will and Megan, and the pair have threatened him to keep quiet. But the guilt of concealing the scandal has sent Sam spiralling.
The dedicated student is falling behind at school, and has started secretly taking ADHD medication in the misguided hope that it would help his studies. Unfortunately, all the pills are doing is making him feel worse.
On the way to school one morning, Sam is sick while waiting at the bus stop. Leanne sees him and takes him home, later sharing her concerns for her stepson with Nick Tilsley. While she can understand that Sam is dreading his upcoming exams, his withdrawn behaviour makes her think something else might be going on.
“Ironically, Leanne also confides in Megan about Sam,” our insider continues. “Megan tells her to stop worrying, and when she thinks Leanne is out of the flat, she has a suggestive phone call with Will – not realising Leanne was in the bathroom and overheard the illicit exchange.”

Megan is red-faced thinking she and Will might have been caught out – but luckily, it appears oblivious Leanne just assumes she was talking dirty down the phone to boyfriend Daniel. The secret is still safe – but for how long?
Stressed Sam is doing his best to give manipulative Miss Walsh a wide berth, but seeing as she lives with his stepmum, that’s easier said than done. When the lad calls in at the flat to collect some of his books, he’s unnerved to find himself alone with mean Megan.
She continues to intimidate scared Sam, making it clear there would be repercussions if he told anyone about her and Will. However, Megan has no idea Leanne is getting closer to discovering what’s been going on…

“Leanne is chatting to Daniel about Sam’s erratic mood,” our spy reveals. “As one of his teachers, perhaps Daniel has some insight into what’s worrying the teen? The conversation turns to an apology from mortified Leanne for interrupting Daniel’s call with Megan the other day – but Daniel’s response gives away that he wasn’t on the other end of the phone…”
On high alert to the possibility Megan is doing the dirty on Daniel, Leanne starts watching her pal like a hawk. And when Megan cancels a date with Daniel at short notice, Leanne reckons this is solid proof she’s got another guy on the go!
Will Leanne confront Megan with her theory?
