Coronation Street Soap Scoop! Fears grow for Todd
Coronation Street has confirmed that David and Shona Platt will face some trouble in upcoming scenes, with the pair unaware that Jodie Ramsey very much has ulterior motives for being in Weatherfield.
Jodie, the long-lost half-sister of Shona, made her debut in the ITV soap back in January as part of the Corriedale special, and subsequently moved into the family home as she sought to get back on her feet.
It soon became apparent, however, that everything wasn’t as it initially seemed. Jodie holds resentment towards Shona for what she perceives as abandonment from their childhood, and is secretly scheming to bring her down.
Part of the deviously grand plan involves disrupting the marriage between Shona and David in whatever way she can, including laying on the charm with David while his wife is away. She started this move last month, but will up the ante soon.
In upcoming scenes, David will have a day off-work and intends to use his free time by watching films all day. Sensing an opportunity, Jodie calls in sick and asks if she can join him with a binge-watch.

Later in the week, David tells Jodie that he’s engaged in some devious antics in the local community, as he’s swapped his broken wheelie bin for one of Lisa and Carla’s, who live next door.
Jodie finds it amusing, and David realises that she can more than hold her own when it comes to light banter. He’s impressed by his sister-in-law, but are they getting too close for comfort?
“David seems oblivious to Jodie’s true motives,” shares our Corrie source. “Jodie doesn’t have good intentions where her half-sister Shona is concerned – so the Platts’ marriage could be vulnerable if she continues to scheme.”
“She’s clearly playing the long game around David, not wanting to make her move too quickly. But is it only a matter of time before she crosses the line?” continued our Weatherfield insider.
David and Shona aren’t the only ones in Jodie’s sights, with Bethany Platt also coming under fire earlier this week after crossing her path. During Monday’s (30 March) instalment, Jodie attempted to ruin Bethany’s career plans in an act of spite.
