In a scene on December 26, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) could be seen clutching his chest like he was having heart pains.
This could set the stage for Sonny to eventually have some type of cardiac episode that makes him a patient at GH.
Viewers know for a fact that Cyrus targeted Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) during her own hospital stay.
Cyrus gave Sam an overdose of digitalis that caused her fatal heart attack.
There’s evidence to suggest that Cyrus did the same thing to Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) after targeting him in Rice Plaza.
Cyrus seemingly caused Dex to face a grim fate after a fatal digitalis overdose as well.
If Sonny’s heart drama leads to him getting hospitalized, Cyrus may not be able to resist going after him, too.
Sonny is arguably Cyrus’ worst foe in town, so his hospitalization could certainly tempt Cyrus to take him out permanently.
If there’s already a strain on Sonny’s heart, then Cyrus might decide it’ll be easy to get away with this.
Sonny may be prescribed digitalis for his new heart problems anyway, so Cyrus might determine that it’ll be simple to make sure he overdoses on it.
Of course, it’s not like Cyrus has really had any problems so far!
Since Cyrus was successful in wiping Sam and Dex off the map, there’s no reason to think he’d doubt his ability to end Sonny for good.
However, it might be interesting if going after Sonny is what leads to Cyrus getting caught!
Perhaps someone could save Sonny at the last minute and end Cyrus’ latest reign of terror.
