General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) upcoming death will impact many lives in Port Charles.

But no one will be devastated more than her children, including Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn).

Sam has been concerned for months now about Danny’s more reckless side and his tendency to take after his father, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

Jason has chosen a dangerous lifestyle that includes working with mob boss Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard).

General Hospital Spoilers – Jason Morgan Will Have To Step Up!
Jason and Sonny have been as close as brothers for decades now. That all changed for a while because Jason was believed to be dead for several years.

When Jason returned, he was working with the FBI and Sonny saw that as a betrayal for quite a while.

They have since reconciled with Jason slowly taking steps to return to life in Sonny’s organization. Most recently, he disposed of the murder weapon Sonny used to kill FBI Agent John Cates (Adam Harrington).

GH Spoilers – Anna Devane Is Disappointed In Jason Morgan’s Choices
While Jason was working undercover with the FBI, he became somewhat close to Police Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). Once Jason was no longer indebted to the FBI, Anna urged Jason to use that as a turning point to make some big changes in his life.

She was disappointed when Jason appeared to rejoin the mob and his position as Sonny’s right-hand man.

Jason told Anna that he would always be loyal to Sonny, but he would also be loyal to her. Anna didn’t think he could play both sides like that and told him they were no longer friends.

Anna and Jason are currently overseas once again working together to bring Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) home. But soon enough, tragedy will rock Port Charles as Sam is destined to die sometime this fall.

As Danny’s only living parent, he’s going to have to make some choices about his lifestyle. And that will likely include leaving the mob behind once and for all.

Sonny and Jason could still be partners at Corinthos Coffee but if he wants to honor Sam’s wishes for a safe life for Danny, that will mean Jason will have to leave the mob once and for all.
