EastEnders is lining up another character exit amid the soap’s cast shake-up.
Following the departure (and return) of Stacey Slater and as more characters are set to make a comeback, one member of the Knight family will be bidding farewell to Walford in upcoming scenes.
The BBC confirmed that Molly Rainford, who plays Anna Knight, will be exiting the show this year.
“We can confirm that Molly Rainford will be leaving EastEnders later this year, and we wish her all the best for the future,” the BBC said in a statement.
Rainford joined the cast in 2023 together with Colin Salmon as Molly’s dad George Knight, Francesca Henry as her sister Gina, and Harriet Thorpe as Elaine Peacock.

The new characters joined the series at a crucial time for Elaine’s daughter Linda Carter, played by Kellie Bright.
Elaine rushed to her daughter’s side to help her run The Vic following the loss of Linda’s husband Mick (Danny Dyer) in a tragic storyline that aired on Christmas Day 2022.
But it hasn’t always been smooth sailing between Linda and Elaine. Recently, Elaine’s erratic behaviour as she struggles to cope with her split from George has seen her put The Vic in danger.

Unable to deal with her mum, Linda has realised she doesn’t associate the pub to good memories any more, so has ultimately decided to sell it.
Needless to say, Elaine hit back at her daughter, insisting that The Vic is her home too. What will happen to the pub? And will Anna’s exit tie into it?
