BIG SAD NEWS: Coronation Street ‘confirms’ exit story for three favourites as they prepare to wave goodbye

Coronation Street has seemingly confirmed the exit storyline of three characters, as they prepare to bid farewell to the cobbles for new opportunities in London.

Last week, Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) was thrilled to receive a job offer from her dream magazine – the only drawback being that the position was in London.

When she confided in fiancé Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), she was disappointed when he automatically assumed that she had already turned down the role, as it didn’t align with their current lifestyle.

However, in tonight’s episode she made a bold move and accepted the job anyway.

When Daniel arrived home, she revealed what she had done, before explaining that she had found a cheap flat with a short lease that they could rent.

She begged him to consider a trial period of living in London, before asking him what reason they had to stay in Weatherfield.

Viewers will know that Daniel may have one big reason to stay, and it involves ex-fiancé Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan).

After a one night stand with Daniel late last year, Daisy fell pregnant, but was unsure whether the baby was his or Kit Green’s (Jacob Roberts).

Despite telling Kit that he was the father, Daisy later admitted to Daniel that she didn’t know for sure.

Tonight, Daniel accompanied Daisy to get a DNA test, determined to know for certain.

As he panicked about what he would tell Bethany if the baby turned out to be his, and how things would be between the three of them going forward, Daisy urged him not to change his life for her and the baby.

Daisy recently discovered she was pregnantWith Daisy’s words ringing in his ear, Daniel told Bethany that there was no reason not to give London a go, leaving her completely thrilled.

Will they go ahead with the move, or will the DNA results change Daniel’s mind?

We know that Bethany is set to leave the street soon, with actress Lucy Fallon heading on maternity leave, but will Daniel and Bertie be going with her?

And with the actress having promised that she will be back on the cobbles in no time, is it safe to say that the trial move to London isn’t set to go to plan?
