Emmerdale has aired a huge murder confession for Ruby Fox-Miligan after she made a big mistake concerning the body in the dredged lake.
During Friday’s episode, it was confirmed that a body had been found in the lake, leaving some characters concerned that it belonged to Anthony Fox, whose death they had covered up.
However, viewers know that the body actually belongs to Nate Robinson, who was accidentally killed by trained medic John Sugden, who then dumped his body in the lake.
In today’s episode, a terrified Ruby, Cain Dingle, Caleb Miligan, and Chas Dingle panicked that the body in the lake was Anthony.

“Of course it’s Anthony,” Ruby said to the group. “A random body turns up, who else is it going to be?”
When Chas learned from the police that the body had been there for months, it only fuelled their fears that it was Anthony.
Convinced it was her father, a shaken Ruby decided to confess, saying: “They’ll come for me, you know they will. It’s better this way. I’m going to confess, it’s the only way to end this.”
Caleb suggested that they both flee instead. “If we’re not here, the police can’t do anything. We go on the run,” he said.
When Ruby said she wanted to hand herself in, Caleb said: “Whatever happens, we are in it together. You said that I saved you, well I will keep on saving you until the day that I die. I can’t let you go, so we are not leaving this room until we’ve made a plan.”

Ruby eventually agreed to go on the run, and Cain started to make enquiries about them heading to stay with Irish relatives, setting plans in motion to get the family some fake passports.
Ruby then slipped out, leaving everyone a note explaining where she had gone. She headed to the police station alone where she prepared to confess.
“I want to confess to a murder. My name is Ruby Milgan, I killed my father Anthony Fox,” she said as the episode ended. How will Ruby feel once she learns the body is actually Nate?
