EastEnders’ Elaine and George Knight will face fresh drama next week, and it looks like the estranged couple might reunite.
The Knights fell apart in this week’s episodes, when Elaine grew tired of George’s lies and encounters with his ex-wives – and ended up sleeping with a complete stranger.
Elaine was horrified by the mistake she had made, and while at first she attempted to keep her betrayal to herself, she soon came clean to her husband.
George was stunned, and despite Elaine desperately trying to save their relationship, he declared that their marriage was over and left the pub.

Next week, while love is in the air for Kat and Alfie following their wedding and Yolande and Patrick after they became engaged, Elaine tries to put on a brave face as she works out what to do next.
New spoilers reveal that in Monday’s episode – which isn’t being released early on BBC iPlayer as usual – Phil steps in to help his friend George and encourages him to forgive Elaine for her big mistake.
It seems that Phil’s advice works, as George has a change of heart and calls round to tell Elaine that she deserves a second chance.

But while it looks like the couple are set to get back together, Elaine is furious that George won’t take responsibility for his part in their breakup.
She rejects his advances, so George packs his bags and leaves again, with their marriage seeming beyond repair at this point.
Linda notices Elaine’s devastation, so decides to throw her mum a divorce party to cheer her up – which explains the black veil she is wearing in the previously released pictures.

Elaine attempts to mask her pain so gets into the spirit and begins pouring the drinks at her divorce party, with the likes of Kim, Mo, Priya, Denise, Honey and Yolande in attendance.
Linda struggles to cope with being left to manage the pub alone, so Phil comes to her rescue and joins her behind the bar to lend a hand.
Elaine later makes another mistake that she will come to regret in the morning, but will she continue to spiral following the breakdown of her relationship with George?
