Coronation Street‘s Lisa Swain and Carla Connor celebrate finally being free of Becky next week – little realising there’s another threat lurking right under their noses.

As Lisa announces that her divorce from Becky has come through, Carla is thrilled, knowing this means they can now get married.

Heading to the café to celebrate, they leave new childminder Jodie Ramsey at home alone with little Connie – but have Lisa and Carla made a very grave error of judgement?

“After all they went through with Becky, you’d think Lisa and Carla could spot a villain a mile off,” explains our Corrie source. “Yet as they merrily skip off to Roy’s to share their good news, they have no idea that they’re putting Connie in danger.

“Jodie is not to be trusted – but with nobody around to supervise her, what does she have planned for the poor little mite?”

It’s not only Carla and Lisa that Jodie is toying with, however. When David Platt reveals that he has the day off from the salon, and plans to slob out at home watching movies, Jodie announces that she’s pulling a sickie so she can join him.

Later in the week, sneaky David tells Jodie that he’s switched their battered old wheelie bin for Lisa’s nice new one, leaving Jodie amused. As the pair laugh over the silly prank and share some banter, David is impressed to realise that Jodie is every bit as devious as he is.

Meanwhile, Jodie lets slip to Gemma Winter-Brown that she’s left a load of terrible reviews for Mal Roper’s business as revenge for the way he treated Bernie. What is she really up to?

“It wasn’t that long ago that Jodie was breaking into Bernie’s house and vandalising her family photos,” our insider reminds us. “Now she’s making out that she’s on Bernie’s side. She’s clearly playing some very twisted games.”

But when Roy Cropper announces that Mal’s moving away, Gemma tells Bernie it must be because of Jodie’s reviews. Will Bernie thank her colleague for stepping in? And what exactly is Jodie’s masterplan?
