Sister Wives Season 20 has a different feeling to it, especially with the consistent storylines about Christine Brown and David Woolley’s relationship taking screentime away from the furious Kody Brown and making viewers feel like it’s become a Christine spin-off. Throughout the run of Sister Wives, Kody’s been dealing with the dynamics of his relationships with his wives in a plural marriage.
Though Christine was the first to leave, Janelle Brown and Meri Brown followed shortly after, leaving Kody alone with his remaining wife, Robyn Brown. Kody’s relationships have been fascinating, but the way Christine has moved on has been even more interesting.
Throughout Sister Wives season 20, Christine’s new relationship with David has been documented thoroughly. For the first time in Sister Wives history, one of the women involved in the plural marriage is pursuing a new partner, and Sister Wives viewers have the added bonus of knowing ahead of time that things work out.
Christine and David’s wedding special aired long before Sister Wives season 19 captured their meet-cute and introduced him to the cameras, so viewers are allowing themselves to invest in the relationship. In contrast, things between Kody and Robyn have been too bleak, leaving viewers wanting more Christine.
Christine & David Are The More Interesting Couple On Sister Wives
Their Dynamic Is New & More Equitable
Throughout Christine’s last few seasons of Sister Wives, she’s been able to create a new sense of independence for herself and change her life for the better.
After leaving Kody in Sister Wives season 17 and moving to Salt Lake City to be closer to her kids, Christine knew that she needed to make changes that would benefit her moving forward.
Doing her best to find herself in a new and exciting way, she got in touch with herself and found out who she was after the split. In time, she was ready to date again and quickly met David.
Although Sister Wives viewers know that Christine and David are now happily married, Sister Wives season 20 is following the early days and weeks of their relationship, giving more information about the couple.
Seeing who Christine is in a new relationship with someone who’s loving, caring, and all about her has been refreshing. Rather than watching her dynamics with Kody, who wasn’t interested in her for the majority of their marriage, seeing Christine be loved and love in return has been great.
Kody & Robyn’s Drama Isn’t As Interesting As Christine’s Happiness

Although Kody and Robyn are the only remaining couple from the original plural marriage on Sister Wives, their drama hasn’t been living up to expectations. Kody’s been unable to process or understand his emotions as he navigates life after plural marriage, often blaming his ex-wives for his struggles instead of taking any accountability.
Watching Kody spiral and avoid being honest about his relationship with Robyn has become increasingly difficult for Sister Wives viewers to watch, especially when juxtaposed with Christine’s happiness and newfound love. While Kody remains part of the show, his storylines haven’t been as compelling as the positive changes in Christine’s life.
Sister Wives Is Becoming A Christine & David Spin-Off
Although Sister Wives fans have longed for a Christine and Janelle-centered spin-off, it seems that the main show could be evolving into exactly what they’ve wished for.
While Kody, Robyn, and Meri still make appearances, a significant portion of Sister Wives has shifted its focus to Christine and David’s blossoming relationship, as well as Janelle moving forward with her life.
Many Sister Wives viewers would much rather see this happy couple move forward and settle into their new chapter, rather than revisiting Kody’s unresolved issues that no longer hold any relevance. At this point, it wouldn’t be surprising if Sister Wives became a Christine-centric series.
