Most people have to work and when you get to work with people you like, well, it makes it all the much better. There are always cases where a team or crew becomes like family and we’re pretty sure that can be said for a few daytime castmates. And what General Hospital’s Maurice Benard (Sonny) recently had to say just proves our point.

The ABC soap vet shared a video of the cast from within the Port Charles church while taking a break from filming a funeral scene. Seated next to Lisa LoCicero (Olivia), Benard shared, “I don’t quite remember what this day was, I’m sure you’ll let me know.” And yes, fans did. It was the taping for Sam’s funeral. “Lisa is a really really good friend of mine,” he continued. “She’s a good person with a big heart.” GENERAL HOSPITAL - Episode “15442” -“General Hospital" airs Monday - Friday, on ABC (check local listings). In response to her good friend, LoCicero replied,” Mo… we’ve been through a lot… in real life and reel life… you just keep on surprising me.. (in the best way).”

The actress who plays Benard’s onscreen daughter Donna, Scarlett Spears, jumped in to express, “The prettiest people,” as fans, like Rana Simon, echoed, “Both beautiful… Been in love with you Maurice for years,” leading the actor to send her a few heart emojis. And Georgia Mourtokokis added, “You two are my favorites! I have been watching as a super dedicated GH fan for many years and still hooked!”
