AN Emmerdale couple have shockingly split despite being together on and off for over 15 years.

Today’s episode of the ITV soap opera showcased the end of the line for one pairing as one half of the show’s actors prepares to wave goodbye to the Dales once and for all.

Gail Loman, played by Rachael Gill-Davis was left locked in a heated row with her partner Ryan Stocks which ultimately cost them their relationship.

The couple have long been seen to be in bliss but this week it has been revealed that there are severe cracks bubbling away.

Things came to a head for the pair when they realised they barely knew each other despite their years of history when they took part in a Mr and Mrs game alongside Mandy Dingle and Paddy Kirk.

Gail and Ryan got all their answers about one another wrong – leaving Gail fuming.

It made her realise that Ryan’s attention and devotion to her was nowhere near as strong as she had hoped or liked.

The barmaid ended up rushing out of the game in distress and embarrasmenet after the pair rowed about their future.

Gail is desperate to set up her own pub with Ryan away from his scheming mother, Charity.

However, it quickly became apparent this was a one-sided dream with Ryan not caring either way.

Later, as the couple sat in the back room of The Woolpack, tensions boiled over once more and they had a furious showdown.

Appearing to comfort Gail about the Mr & Mrs game, which she used as a trial to see if it could work as a regular pub feature, Ryan said to her: “So, that went well – the trial for your game.”

Reacting in disbelief, Gail shot back: “What? You thought that was a success?”

Ryan replied: “Yeah?

“Look, I’m showing an interest?”

A raging Gail then said: “Maybe it’s too late?

“I don’t want you to pretend to be interested to humour me, it has to be real.

“It’s like your on your own little train track and I’m on mine!”

As the row escalated, Gail went on to offer the final blow as she appeared to end their once-solid romance for good.

She said to Ryan: “I don’t wanna be separate people – I wanna be in love!

“And I don’t think we are anymore.”

She then stormed out seemingly ending thier relationship for good.

Gail and Ryan have had a long-history including welcoming a baby in their teens in 2010.

Their son, Lucas, was placed up for adoption and the couple split some years later.

They re-connected on a one-off date in 2019 before drifting quite quickly once more.

But when Gail turned up in the village in 2023, they quickly resumed their relationship and moved in together once more and even went on to meet their now 13-year-old son when it transpired he was suffering from cancer and needed to try a DNA match with his biological parents in order to see if they were a match for a bone marrow transplant.

The split comes as actress Rachael prepares to leave the show for good.

It was revealed earlier this year that show bosses and Rachael had mutually agreed to move on after her character “failed to inspire storylines”.

Her on-screen exit is expected later this week.
