Emmerdale confirmed that another character has tragically passed away as the true scale of the limousine crashes was revealed.
Friday’s (February 14) episode of the ITV soap saw the lives of several characters thrust into danger following two separate limousine accidents, one of which saw the vehicle plunged into an icy lake.
It was revealed on Monday (February 17) that the limousine ferrying the women to a night out was the one which crashed into the lake, with the first casualty of the crashes being Suzy Merton.
Tonight’s instalment began with a hand banging on the underside of the ice, with Tracy smashing through to save Amy before frantically dragging her to safety with the help of Vanessa.
Liam, meanwhile, was being kept warm by Chas following his own head injury, whilst Kerry and a seriously wounded Leyla were left trapped in the limo. As Leyla began to lose consciousness, the vehicle began sinking to perilous levels.
Kerry, who was nursing a suspected broken foot, managed to drag herself and Leyla out of the limousine before making their dangerous journey across the ice, with the car sinking below the water as Suzy’s body went down with the wreckage.
A panicked Charity managed to call the emergency services as she informed them of their location. As the ambulances arrived, Leyla, Amy and Liam’s respective conditions all worsened as they barely remained conscious, with Noah also being escorted to hospital.
As the four ambulances made their journey to safety, the scene cut to a forlorn paramedic as they attempted in vain to resuscitate one of the injured parties, with a radio call confirming that one of the quartet had tragically died upon arrival.
