Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank teased a soap crossover as he posed for a photo in a surprising place.
The star, who plays Billy Mayhew on Corrie, previously had a role as Ivan Jones on rival ITV soap Emmerdale, and made a return to his former home as he took a picture outside the ITV studio for the soap.
“Oooooh what’s going on here then?” wrote Brocklebank on Instagram, with several fans taking to the comment section to wonder if the cryptic post alluded to a possible return as Ivan, a role he played for just over a year before departing in 2006.
“💋💋💋” commented Lisa Riley, who plays Mandy Dingle in Emmerdale, whilst Corrie co-star Jane Hazlegrove – who plays Bernie Winter – wrote: “If you are training with their netball team I’m going to divorce you!!!! IMMEDIATELY!!!😉💕💕”
Soap fans also took to the comments to remark upon Brocklebank’s cryptic post, with one writing: “don’t tease me like this oh my goodness.” This sentiment was echoed by another follower, who commented: “Ooooh you tease 😉🤭xx”
“I feel a crossover coming” remarked a third fan, with a fourth writing: “I have so many questions about this but I am so here for it.” “Ivan!!!??? 😮 I remember 😉” added a fifth user, with a sixth asking: “You swapped the cobbles for the Dales? 😁”

One fan even suggested a possible way for Brocklebank’s character to head to the Dales, with the user suggesting that Billy’s status as a vicar could come in handy given the current developments on Emmerdale.
“Billy has gone to help Charles [Anderson] with all the funerals Emmerdale are about to have x” wrote the fan as they referenced the ongoing drama regarding the limousine crashes, which has seen multiple characters lose their life.
