Emmerdale airs nail-biting scenes on Monday (February 17) as one group of villagers desperately try to save themselves on a frozen lake.
The show left fans on a dramatic cliffhanger last week as 17 characters headed off for a doomed night out in two separate limos.
One vehicle had Caleb Miligan driving Mackenzie Boyd, Sam Dingle, Bear Wolf, Matty Barton, Cain Dingle, Paddy Dingle and Mandy Dingle.
The second had Charity Dingle acting as chauffeur for Kerry Wyatt, Amy Wyatt, Tracy Metcalfe, Vanessa Woodfield, Suzy Merton, Chas Dingle, Leyla Harding and Liam Cavanagh.
Both limos crashed during the journey, but one was left in a particularly worrying situation as it became stranded on an icy lake.
Monday’s episode gives further insight into both crashes, as we see how Caleb swerved to avoid an oncoming truck.
The businessman had got distracted and taken his eyes off the road while rowing with his brother Cain, who betrayed him last year by sleeping with his wife Ruby.
Meanwhile, Charity also swerved when she spotted her son Noah unexpectedly stumble into the road in a disorientated state.
This ties in with a dark new storyline where it appears that Noah’s drink was spiked during a night out.
After the crash, Charity frets about seeing Noah in the road and wonders why he was out in the middle of nowhere.
The group stranded on the ice soon discover the dire predicament they’re in, while also assessing everyone’s injuries. Worryingly, one person has already stopped breathing following the disaster.
An Emmerdale insider teased: “As some of the passengers start to come around, they take in their situation. Panic becomes horror as they witness their heavy vehicle is stranded on a creaking frozen lake. But which limo is in danger?”
Emmerdale fans can see these scenes from 7am on streaming service ITVX or at 7.30pm on ITV1.
