Coronation Street has revealed a first look at Julie Carp’s return to Weatherfield.
Julie’s comeback scene has been released among a new set of spoiler clips for next week’s episodes, previewing all the drama to come.
Katy Cavanagh is reprising her role as Julie for an emotional new storyline which ties in with Eileen Grimshaw’s upcoming exit.
The plot begins in next Wednesday’s episode (February 19), as Julie’s nephew Todd Grimshaw attends a singles’ event at Debbie Webster’s hotel.
Todd’s work colleague George Shuttleworth gives him a hard time for insensitively dragging Billy Mayhew along to the event, just a few months after he tragically lost his husband Paul Foreman.
Todd gets distracted when he unexpectedly crosses paths with Julie at the gathering.
When she inevitably finds out, how will Eileen feel to have her half-sister back in town? And what is Julie hiding from her family?
Meanwhile, a clip from Monday’s episode (February 17) shows the moment that Rob Donovan realises he’s been played for a fool by DS Lisa Swain.
Lisa admits that she only promised to help Rob overturn his conviction so that he wouldn’t back out of saving Carla Connor’s life with the kidney transplant.
Once a triumphant Lisa admits that she has no intention of keeping her promise, Rob calls his secret lover Mandy and warns her that they’ll have to change their plans to get him out of prison.
Finally, a clip from Tuesday’s episode (February 18) sees Kevin Webster recovering in hospital after his surgery.
Kevin is dismayed to learn that his wife Abi was sent home by his sister Debbie. He insists that he understands, as Abi is clearly struggling at the moment, but he seems to be putting on a brave face for everyone when he really needs his wife’s support.
