Coronation Street is set to air a new mystery after Ryan Connor catches Bobby Crawford in a suspicious act.
In the new scenes airing next Wednesday, Ryan goes to Daisy Midgeley and tells her that she needs to pay Carla back the money she owes her now.
Viewers will remember that Daisy and Jenny teamed up to buy the Rovers in 2023 after securing access to killer Stephen Reid’s secret bank account. However, this was money that Stephen had stolen from Carla, and they agreed to pay her back gradually.
However, Carla has recently needed the cash for her kidney operation, and demanded they pay up now or face the police – though was was given a ray of hope when Betsy Swain offered her half the money needed.
The latest scenes will see Ryan overhear Bobby on the phone agreeing to pick up money for a mystery person, before Ryan follows him into the factory.
What is Bobby involved in, and will Ryan keep his suspicious behaviour secret?
It is unclear whether or not the storyline is related to a possible death plot for Bobby’s dad Rob Donovan – who is using his kidney donation to Carla as part of a wider jail escape plan.
The scenes will see prison guard Mandy turn up at the hospital despite initial reservations, while things will take a dramatic turn as Rob tries to flee to hospital while taking Carla with him.
However, he will end up motionless at the bottom of a stairwell, with the circumstances around it and the outcome of whether he is alive or not under wraps for now.
