BREAKING NEWS!!! Is Emmerdale on tonight? ITV schedule news amid Coronation Street change

ITV soaps Coronation Street and Emmerdale have been affected by schedule changes in recent weeks, leaving fans wondering when they can watch their favourite soaps.

Viewers will be pleased to know that both soaps are back in their usual slots tonight, with Emmerdale airing on ITV1 at 7.30pm, followed by Corrie at 8pm.

However, tomorrow night will see Emmerdale air at the earlier time of 7pm, due to coverage of an FA Cup football match between Exeter City and Nottingham Forest beginning at 7.30pm, ahead of an 8pm kick off.

Things are back to normal for both soaps on Wednesday, but Thursday will see Emmerdale take the earlier slot of 7pm again for it’s hour-long instalment.

To finish the week, Friday will see both soaps return to their usual slots.

It’s a busy week on both soaps this week, with the Emmerdale villagers set to be rocked by a deadly disaster.

When is Emmerdale on this week?

Both soaps are available to watch from 7am each morning on ITVX.

As Caleb Miligan (William Ash) finally discovers the truth about Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Ruby Fox-Miligan’s (Beth Cordingly) infidelity, Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) plans a romantic Valentine’s proposal for Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter).

However, tragedy strikes when a limo full of villagers crashes on Friday night, leaving them teetering dangerously on the cracked ice of a frozen lake.

With someone set to be trapped under the ice, will everyone make it out alive? Or will the villagers be mourning one of their own?

Elsewhere, Steph Miligan (Georgia Jay) is still concerned about Anthony’s whereabouts, while Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) is alarmed to discover that Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) knows all about his affair with Dawn Fletcher (Olivia Bromley).

Meanwhile, on the cobbles, Carla Connor (Alison King) is anxiously awaiting test results that will reveal whether or not brother Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) is a match for her kidney transplant.

Elsewhere, the investigation surrounding the fire at the Platt’s takes an unexpected turn, and newcomers Lou and Mick Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty and Joe Layton) hit the street with a bang.

As Mason Radcliffe is laid to rest, Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) gets the results of his cancer tests.

Next week, Coronation Street will face more huge changes, as it airs on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday instead of its usual slots.

Both soaps are set to face huge changes next year, as they swap to different slots on ITV.

Cutting out one episode per week, both soaps will air half an hour episodes from Monday to Friday, with Emmerdale set to air at 8pm, followed by Coronation Street at 8.30pm.

The decision to make these changes came after audience research into viewing patterns, and are set to form what ITV bosses are calling a ‘soap power hour’.
