Emmerdale‘s Joe Tate suffers another setback next week as his half-brother Noah Dingle manages to outsmart him.
Joe realises that he’s underestimated his younger sibling, who teams up with his mum Charity to fight back against the schemer.
Viewers have seen that Joe is cruelly causing trouble for Noah by leaving malicious reviews online regarding his work as an electrician.
As this week’s episodes continue, Joe’s bigger agenda starts to become clear as he suggests that Noah should move to Dubai.
Joe hypes up the dream of working abroad and promises to pull some strings to get Noah a job. Charity sternly warns Noah that he can’t go, but her impressionable son seems unlikely to listen.
In follow-on scenes next week, Sarah Sugden backs Charity by reminding Noah of everything he’d miss at home if he moved to Dubai.
Noah listens to Sarah and later tells Joe that he won’t be taking up the opportunity. Joe appears to completely overreact to the news, leaving Noah baffled by his strange behaviour.
The next day, Noah’s run of “bad luck” continues as his tools are stolen from his van.
Noah later tells Joe that his new business is in tatters, so he’d like to accept the previous job offer after all.
Joe celebrates the news that Noah will be moving to Dubai, but he’s wrong-footed when Noah and Charity reveal that they knew he’d stolen the tools all along.
As he realises that he’s been conned, the red mist descends on Joe as he’s furious to have been outsmarted. Things get worse when Cain Dingle intervenes, warning Joe not to speak to Noah from now on.
Later, Joe takes a mysterious phone call regarding Noah. But why was he so adamant about the move to Dubai in the first place, and does he still intend to use Noah as part of his bigger agenda?
