EastEnders will spell trouble for Sonia Fowler and Reiss Colwell as she harbours suspicions about her sister Bianca Jackson’s confession.

In scenes airing next week, Lauren Branning goes to see Sonia, as she knows the nurse isn’t convinced Bianca killed Reiss’s estranged wife, Debbie.

Unbeknownst to Sonia, Reiss is the one who killed Debbie and has been holding Bianca captive. In a recent turn of events, Bianca offered to record a fake confession in which she admitted to having offed Debbie to keep Sonia, who was standing trial for the murder, out of prison.

Speaking with Lauren, Sonia admits that she thinks Bianca only confessed to save her.

She then begs Jack Branning to get her a copy of Bianca’s confession to get a sense of her sister’s version, though she asks the detective not to tell Reiss she’s got the tape.

Meanwhile, an upset Sonia feigns excitement when Reiss shows her his plans to turn the middle room into a playroom for the baby.

In possession of Bianca’s footage, Sonia readies herself to watch it secretly but is caught out by Reiss as she’s about to press play.

Sonia is adamant she’ll be watching the confession, and Reiss reluctantly agrees to watch it with her, but her reaction isn’t one he was expecting.

Later on, DI Xiang arrives with news for Sonia – the police have issued a search warrant for Bianca and intend to charge her with murder.
