Emmerdale‘s Joe Tate arouses suspicion from Kim and Charity next week as his manipulation continues.
Joe seems to be drawing various characters into his web, as he pursues a secret affair with Dawn Fletcher and tries to get back on better terms with his half-brother Noah Dingle.
The enigmatic character returned to Home Farm at Christmas and immediately reconciled with Kim after their difficult past, but he appears to be pursuing a much bigger agenda.
Next week, Joe plays for sympathy from Dawn as he shares how much he’s struggling with his withdrawal from painkillers.
The businessman is pleased that his tactics are working with Dawn, but their warm moment is interrupted when Kim walks in.
Kim confronts Joe over the strange dynamic between him and Dawn, after spotting several clues that something is going on.
Joe uses his painkiller story to throw Kim off the scent and she seemingly accepts his claims – for now.
Later, Joe and Dawn share another passionate kiss and rush upstairs, just as Charity sneaks into Home Farm.
Charity is on a mission to find dirt on Joe as he’s trying to encourage her son Noah to move away to Dubai for a new job. Joe seems to have nasty intentions here too, as he’s been writing malicious online reviews for Noah’s work as an electrician.
When Charity hears Kim arriving home, she grabs a nearby laptop and rushes out.
Back at The Woolpack, Charity asks her son Ryan Stocks for help getting access to the computer and she soon makes a shocking discovery. Will it be enough to prove Joe’s deceit?
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Monday, February 3, Thursday, February 6 and Friday, February 7 on ITV1 and ITVX.
