On the way to collect Kevin from his ultrasound with Alfie in the car, Abi has another panic attack at the precinct as she sees the place where Mason died.
Abi climbs out of the car transfixed on the spot. She imagines she sees herself cradling Seb’s body. Overwhelmed by terror and guilt, she sprints away.
Kevin is surprised to find Debbie, not Abi, in the waiting room. Kevin returns home to find Abi curled up on the sofa. He tells her that he’ll get his scan results in a couple of weeks.
When Kevin offers to pick up Alfie from the childminder, Abi looks at him aghast.
Debbie shares her concerns over Abi’s mental state with Ronnie and how she’s worried for Alfie’s safety. Abi is shocked to find Kevin seated at the table with a social worker. A furious Abi is sure that Debbie reported her.
Meanwhile, realising that the only way he can raise the cash to pay Harvey back is to get rid of the house, David meets up with Andy who he met in prison and tells him he desperately needs a favour.
Elsewhere, when Ken reveals that Cassie will be moving in, Steve and Amy are horrified. When Cassie explains to Evelyn that she’s moving in with Ken because he needs round the clock care, Evelyn is left mildly suspicious.
Also today, as Chesney heads off for the police station to be interviewed, Gemma masks her anxiety.
Finally, Steve finds a downcast Leanne brooding over a cup of tea in the café and invites her to pop over to No.1 later for a drink. As Amy gets ready to leave for a party, she warns Steve to keep his misgivings about Cassie to himself or he might find himself homeless.
Amy arrives at the party venue and is shocked to come face to face with Aaron’s Dad, Eric. At No.1, Steve and Leanne reminisce over a bottle of wine and Steve fails to notice when his phone vibrates with an urgent message from Amy.
At No.1, Steve assures Leanne that she means the world to Sam and that bond will never be broken. When Leanne leans in and kisses him, Steve kisses her back passionately.
