Emmerdale’s Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) is left stunned when Amy Barton (Natalie Ann Jamieson) suggests they start a family, a spoiler video for this week has revealed.
Looking after Frankie causes Amy to wish for her own child in forthcoming scenes from the ITV soap, and speaks to mother-in-law Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb).
Buoyed by her words, Amy picks her moment to speak to Matty when she surprises him with a tour of Dale View.
Hearing that Kim Tate (Claire King) is renting out the cottage after it was recently vacated, Amy blindfolds Matty and takes him to see the property.
As you can see in the video above, Matty is confused as to why Amy has brought him to see the cottage, having agreed to save money for a deposit on a place of their own.
Amy then admits that she thinks Dale View would be the perfect place for them to have a baby while the are still saving, leaving Matty stunned.
‘Look, I know it seems really out of the blue. I just can’t stop thinking how amazing it would be,’ she says.
As a speechless Matty reels, she continues: ‘You don’t have to say anything now – it would be nice if you did – but let’s just have a little look around and we won’t rule anything out.’
However, Matty’s face appears as if he is much less keen on the idea than Amy.
Will he come round, or will Amy’s proposal drive a wedge between them?
