General Hospital (GH) recap for Friday, January 24, reveals that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) exploded with anger in her hotel room in Baden-Baden, Germany. Carly almost smashed some glass in a fit of rage, but she decided against it and looked distraught.
Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) had a meeting in London, so he decided to swing by and check on Carly.
That led to Carly spilling about the clinic not letting her see Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) due to their strict protocols.
Carly blamed herself for Michael’s ordeal since she put him in Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) orbit.
Brennan reflected on losing a friend in a mission, but he knew second-guessing things in the present wouldn’t change the past.
After Carly decided she’d go back to the clinic and force them to let her see Michael, Brennan offered to be her chauffeur.
At the Quartermaine gatehouse, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) brought breakfast to Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) before Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) barged in and barked orders.
As Willow stood up to Tracy, she pointed out she could still press kidnapping charges. Tracy took a jab about Willow having a little more Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) in her than she thought.
After Nina rushed to Willow’s defense, Willow threatened to take the kids and leave.
Tracy finally relented, but her one non-negotiable rule was that Willow couldn’t have her “boyfriend” over since Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) was banned from the Q property.
Willow worried it was a mistake to move back in the gatehouse, but Nina felt her instincts to compromise had been right.
Although Willow would miss living with her mom, Nina promised they’d see each other all the time and embraced her.
At Aurora, Drew pitched Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) on the idea of a stock sale that would make him majority owner again.
Curtis was appalled over Drew making this move while Michael was recovering, but he said he wouldn’t make the deal even if Michael were healthy down the hall!
Drew defended falling for Willow and basically threw Curtis’ previous failed marriage in his face.
After Drew hinted about tanking Aurora now that the company didn’t benefit him enough, Curtis kicked him out of the CEO office.
At GH, Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) impressed Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) with his positive attitude and couldn’t wait to get back on the field next season.
Kai’s orthopedist eventually arrived with updates, so Kai urged the doc to give him the good news.
Meanwhile, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) ran into Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) at the hospital, so Joss admitted she was there to stop a killer and dig into Dex Heller’s (Eden McCoy) case.
When Josslyn learned Trina was there to visit Kai, she thought it’d be good for him to see someone from outside the football world.
When Trina entered Kai’s room later, she found him looking glum. Kai ultimately admitted he was never going to play football again, so his shoulder injury was clearly far worse than he thought.
Our predictions point to Trina helping Kai find a new path in the months ahead, so stay tuned to watch love bloom.
Back with Josslyn, she showed up at Turning Woods and was pleased to learn there was a volunteer spot open. Josslyn smiled and got the lady at the desk to sign her up.
At Deception, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) still wanted the assistant position, but Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) spelled out all the reasons it would be too awkward.
Just when it seemed like Lulu was ready to accept that, Tracy showed up and learned Lulu had applied for the job.
Once a thrilled Tracy offered to double the salary, that was an offer Lulu couldn’t refuse.
In Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) office, she met with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) in her office. Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) was there too, so Sidwell faced backlash over all the chaos that happened in Africa.
However, Sidwell acted like he hadn’t broken any laws. The topic of Sasha Gilmore Corbin’s (Sofia Mattsson) kidnapping and the warehouse explosion came up, but Sidwell suggested no one had accused him of anything.
Sidwell was determined to do business in Port Charles, but Laura didn’t think many people would be willing to work with him there. After Sidwell looked forward to proving Laura wrong, he took off.
Anna eventually spoke to Laura about the timing of Sidwell’s arrival in Port Charles since Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) penthouse just blew up.
It raised suspicions, so Anna decided to see if she could connect that explosion to the one at the warehouse.
General Hospital spoilers say Sidwell could make some other sinister moves as his storyline heats up!
