EMMERDALE fans have been left doing a double take after one of the soap’s former stars revealed her real age.

The actress let slip how old she is while celebrating her birthday and her followers simply cannot believe it.

Hayley Tamaddon is best known for playing Del Dingle in Emmerdale during the noughties.

She later went on to land a part in fellow ITV soap Coronation Street as Andrea Beckett.

On Friday, Hayley posted a message on her Instagram grid and revealed she was marking her 48th birthday.

The mum-of-one jokingly told her fans she needed “a boost” and asked if they could all tell her she looked 35.

She wrote: “Today I am 48.

“I know. I know. I don’t look a day over 35 right?

“If you could please all just tell me that to give this old girl a boost today.. that would be great.”

But it seems Hayley didn’t even need to ask, as fans were were already happy to compliment her on her youthful looks.

One told the soap star: “Not in your 30s, surely?!”

Another added: “Happy birthday ❤ you def don’t look 48!! Hope you have a wonderful day xxx.”

A third said: “Happy birthday Hayley no way you look your age at all!”

And someone else agreed: “Happy birthday Hayley, you don’t look 48. Have a lovely day!”

Hayley also shared a sweet black and white picture of herself and her five-year-old son Jasper while cosied up in their fluffy dressing gowns.

The photo was taken in a converted shepherd’s hut, which is where Hayley and Jasper were celebrating her special day.

Hayley captioned the shot: “Just me and my boy. A box of Lego. And A hot tub. Perfect birthday weekend.. even in a storm.”

Hayley shares Jasper with her ex fiancé Adrian, who she split from in 2022.

The former Emmerdale star got engaged to estate agent Adrian in 2019, just weeks after revealing she was pregnant.

Hayley confirmed her break-up with Adrian on Mother’s Day and now proudly lists herself as “single mum to Jasper!” on her Instagram biog.

She said in March 2022: “This Mother’s Day is different for me as I’m now a single mum.

“Mine and Jasper’s life has been turned upside down over the past few months but I realise the best thing to come out of this is Jasper. For he is all I need… and all I’ve ever wanted.

“He makes me so happy! I never set out to be a single parent… but I DID set out to be the best mum I could be, and that hasn’t changed. I’m so lucky I get to be his mummy.

“And I’m very proud of myself for overcoming the many obstacles I’ve faced since he was born.

“To any other single mamas out there… I salute you.”

Hayley currently hosts her own radio show called Daytimes With Hayley Tamaddon on Coastal Radio DAB, which broadcasts across Blackpool and the Fylde Coast.

This month, telly fans might have also spotted her in the first episode of new ITV game show Pictionary.

Hayley took part alongside her former Dancing On Ice pro partner Dan Whiston.

The pair are still good friends following their 2010 win on DOI.
