Coronation Street has hinted at Max Turner’s happy ending with Lauren and baby Frankie – but there could be tragedy ahead.
Soap fans will know that Paddy Beaver, who stars as Max, is set to bow out of the ITV soap this Spring after stepping away from the role to explore new career opportunities.
In tonight’s (January 24) episode things looked like they were going well for Max who discussed his future with Lauren, but with the Platt house fire storyline coming up next month, could things go wrong for the pair?
Today’s episode began in the hospital, where the doctor told Lauren that Frankie is doing well and will be allowed home soon. Max was thrilled for Lauren, who was filled with relief following the news.
Anthea soon arrived and told Lauren that she was sorry for everything she put her through. She also said that she will be dropping the custody case and called Lauren a good mum.
“After all you went through, the last thing you need is us dragging you through court,” Anthea said.
Later, Max and Lauren excitedly discussed their future and Max told Lauren that after she has finished her foster placement, he wants them to find a place together where they can be a proper family.
“I’d actually really like us to get our own place. After everything that’s gone on I just want Frankie to have some stability,” Max told Lauren, who said she was scared because Frankie is still unwell.
After declaring their love for each other, the couple kissed – but will their happy ending ever happen?
Meanwhile, the soap hinted at a potential Platt fire suspect after Leanne caused a small fire in Nick and Toyah’s home after she put their passports in the toaster.
