Next week on Coronation Street, Shona faces a terrifying kidnap ordeal, while Abi’s hallucinations worsen in the wake of Kevin’s cancer diagnosis.
Meanwhile, Ken remains oblivious as Cassie continues to drug him.
Here’s a look at 11 big moments coming up.
1. Shona is kidnapped
Shona leaves No.8, unaware that she is under surveillance from a man in a van nearby. Her assailants quickly seize the opportunity to grab Shona and throw her into the back of the van.
Shona bangs on the doors and shouts for help as the van speeds off.
2. David fears the worst
David visits the café and is concerned when he learns that Shona didn’t show up for work. Having been targeted by Harvey in recent weeks over his failure to repay the stolen money, David fears Shona is in danger.
At the police station, David tells Kit all about the recent threats, including David the dog’s nasty accident. With Shona now missing, David insists that Harvey is behind it all.
3. David tries to protect his family
David decides to find somewhere else to stay, theorising that Harvey is more likely to come after him next. David confesses to Nick that unless he can come up with the money to repay Harvey, the family will never be safe.
Later, David makes the decision to sell Number 8 in a bid to raise the cash. David contacts Andy, a former prisoner that he bumped into recently, and tells him that he needs a favour.
4. Kevin reveals his cancer diagnosis
Kevin tells Abi that he’s been diagnosed with testicular cancer, and while Abi tries to appear positive, it’s clear she’s putting on a front.
Following the news, Abi turns to Nina and admits she’s been struggling to deal with reminders of Seb in the wake of Mason’s death, and now she’s worried about Kevin’s diagnosis as well.
Later, Abi experiences another hallucination of Seb. Rattled by the event, Abi heads to bed and Kevin grows more concerned for her wellbeing.
5. Abi experiences a frightening hallucination
Abi takes Alfie with her in the car to pick up Kevin after his ultrasound appointment. On the journey, Abi has a panic attack when she sees the site of Mason’s death.
Abi exits the car and has a traumatic hallucination of herself cradling Seb’s body. Overwhelmed by the intense image, Abi runs away.
6. Abi’s family worry about her state of mind
Kevin is surprised when he leaves his appointment to find Debbie waiting for him alone. He returns home to see Abi curled up on the sofa, still haunted from her latest hallucination.
When Kevin offers to pick up Alfie from the childminder, Abi is hit with a horrifying realisation.
Later, Debbie tells Ronnie about her concerns for Abi’s mental health and Alfie’s safety.
The situation worsens for Abi when she discovers Kevin having a chat with a social worker and jumps to the conclusion that Debbie has reported her.
7. Tracy confronts Cassie
Cassie continues to take advantage of Ken, slipping some antihistamines into his cup. Adam and Alya pay a visit to Number 1 and point out that Ken looks unwell.
Meanwhile, Ken notices some unusual transactions in his bank account. Tracy is convinced that Cassie is behind the purchases and decides to confront her. Tracy blasts Cassie over the transaction for hair products and accuses her of stealing from Ken.
8. Ken asks Cassie to move in
Despite Tracy’s insistence that Cassie is stealing from him, Ken tells Cassie that he believes her. When he asks Cassie to move into No.1 full-time, she immediately accepts.
Steve is horrified to learn that Cassie is moving in, but Amy warns him that causing a fuss might result in him being left homeless.
However, they’re not alone in doubting Cassie’s motives. When Cassie explains to Evelyn that she’s moving in as Ken now requires a greater level of care, Evelyn is also suspicious.
9. Steve reaches out to Leanne
Leanne feels humiliated when she is forced to wear a hi-visibility jacket and pick up litter as part of her community order. After she is heckled by some teenagers, she storms into the Bistro and demands Toyah pour her a glass of champagne.
Later, Steve spots Leanne at the café and it’s clear she’s feeling low. In a bid to cheer her up, he invites her to Number 1 for a drink.
10. Steve misses Amy’s pleas for help
With Amy out at a party, Steve and Leanne share a bottle of wine and reminisce about the past.
However, as Amy arrives at the party venue, she is horrified to recognise Aaron’s dad, Eric. Amy urgently tries to contact Steve but he’s deep in conversation with Leanne.
After Steve reassures Leanne that her bond with Sam will never be broken, Leanne leans in and the pair begin to kiss passionately.
11. Chesney receives a visit from the police
Gemma is over the moon when Chesney tells her that he’s used the compensation money to pay the last of their bills – and has booked a holiday in Alicante.
Meanwhile, Dev and Bernie announce their engagement in The Rovers, and their extended families celebrate. Chesney’s good mood is brought to a halt when he returns home and is visited by the police. What do they want?
