Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) has gotten herself into a huge mess in Emmerdale.
Following her dad’s sudden death at Christmas, Dawn spiralled and tried to accuse newly returned Joe (Ned Porteous) and then Kim Tate (Claire King) of killing him.
After a failed attempt at revenge, and eventually accepting that Will (Dean Andrews) died under no suspicious circumstances, Dawn got drunk and kissed Joe.
Their chemistry was revisited in tonight’s episode – only things went a little further than a kiss this time.
At the start of the week, Dawn was offered a new job by Kim. She happily accepted, but then discovered Joe would be her new boss.
Frustrated that he orchestrated the entire thing, Dawn tried to confront him – but it led to the two of them sleeping together.
Afterwards, Dawn was forced to hide in Joe’s room due to Lydia (Karen Blick) cleaning outside. It gave them time to actually get to know each other, and opened up about their pasts.
Joe told Dawn that he blames Charity (Emma Atkins) for his dad’s death, and how he returned from Monte Carlo because he wanted to be around the small amount of family he’s still got.
This prompted Dawn to open up about her old life as a drug addict, and how she had her young son taken from her by social services.
The chat ultimately made Joe and Dawn’s connection stronger. As Dawn left though, her guilt increased tenfold when she saw Billy (Jay Kontzle) returning from the hospital with son Evan.

As Dawn caught up with her husband, Joe appeared.
When they had a moment to themselves, Dawn told Joe that their affair cannot continue – but Joe had a look on his face that suggested he didn’t really believe that would happen.
She’s playing a risky game – but will Dawn carry on sleeping with Joe in the same place her husband lives?
