Coronation Street’s Abi Webster (Sally Carman) was urged to seek help as she continued to unravel in the wake of Mason Radcliffe’s (Luca Toolan) murder on Friday.
Since trying to save stab victim Mason’s life last week, the ordeal has triggered visions of son Seb Franklin’s (Harry Visinoni) final moments, after he died in similarly violent circumstances in 2021.
In the latest episode of the ITV soap, she was further thrown when husband Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) shared some concerning health news of his own with her.
Having been to the doctors, Kevin revealed he thinks he could have testicular cancer after finding a lump, and will have to undergo further tests.
Zoning out, Abi was unable to take the scale of the news in and headed out with son Alfie for some fresh air.
At Seb’s memorial garden, she listened to her late son’s final voicemail on her phone, and was left terrified and confused after hearing his voice.
She sought solace at the café, where Roy Cropper (David Neilson) was locking up for the night.
Opening up, she told Roy about her hallucinations, and he advised her to seek help and share the load with Kevin.
Back home, Kevin privately confided in his sister Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) about his fears about Abi – will he be able to get her the help she needs?
Actress Saly Carman, who plays Abi, recently teased that her character could cheat on Kevin amid her struggles.
Speaking to Inside Soap, she said: ‘As an actor, brilliant! I thought, “Would Abi do that?” and actually, yes, she is a bit of a wildcard. The pull and temptation is just too much for her, and it reminds Abi of being young.
‘There’s been a lot of sadness and loss in her life, and this may serve as a distraction from that. It’s too irresistible for her.’
