Cole Hauser Spelling Lose Homes in Los Angeles Wildfires – “People have lost everything”
Stars including Paris Hilton, Ricki Lake, Cameron Mathison and Spencer Pratt have lost their homes, while others have taken to social media to reveal they’ve evacuated their neighborhoods.
As devastating wildfires continue to rage throughout Los Angeles, celebrities have taken to social media to share their first-hand photos and videos of the infernos, while many of them evacuated their homes.Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag lost their home to the blaze, as have Cameron Mathison and Ricki Lake. Per TMZ, Heidi and Spencer’s family was able to safely evacuate, but are devastated by their loss.TMZ also has footage of homes belonging to Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, as well as Anna Faris in flames — with Faris’ rep saying, “Anna and her family are safe and grateful.” TMZ also reports Billy Crystal, Eugene Levy, Anthony Hopkins and John Goodman’s homes also burned down.
“Janice and I lived in our home since 1979. We raised our children and grandchildren here,” Crystal said in a statement. “Every inch of our house was filled with love. Beautiful memories that can’t be taken away. We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this. The Pacific Palisades is a resilient community of amazing people and we know in time it will rise again. It is our home.”Chet Hanks, son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, also posted about his childhood neighborhood being burned down in the fire — while Maria Shriver tweeted that she evacuated on Wednesday morning.On Wednesday night, a number of stars also evacuated their homes as the fire reached the Hollywood Hills — including Chrissy Teigen, Dane Cook, Scott Evans, Julianne Hough and Chrishell Stause.As of Thursday morning, per CNN, the five wildfires fires — the Palisades fire, the Eaton fire, Hurst fire, the Lidia fire, and the Sunset fire — have led to the evacuation of over 100,000 residents, as hundreds of thousands are without power. It’s been reported that at least five people have been killed, and nearly 2,000 structures have been destroyed.

The house I worked in blood, sweat and tears for. The house that I put a key pad instead of a key hole in the front door because I wanted all my family and friends to have a code and use the house whenever they wanted,” she shared in her post, alongside photos of her and her daughter at the home.“This is the house where I found peace after battling with racist neighbors and a community that made me have to buy it in a trust within a trust so no one would know that widowed, single Black woman with a teenager was buying on the exclusively-held beach,” she continued. “This was my EFF YOU I’m here house. The house that I built a movie room dedicated to my sister so she could see her films in her own sanctuary. This is the house where I finally felt like I could choose to spend time … when I wanted to and how I wanted to.”“It is gone,” she wrote. “This is an unimaginable loss. I grieve with the rest of Los Angeles as it burns … and even though I’ve found even words to write here, there’s nothing that I could say in this moment to describe this feeling. After TMZ reported that Paris Hilton’s Malibu mansion burned down, she took to social media on Wednesday to react to her family’s loss.“Heartbroken beyond words. Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience,” she wrote.“This home was where we built so many precious memories. It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London,” she continued. “While the loss is overwhelming, I’m holding onto gratitude that my family is safe.”She added that her team is also “reaching out to nonprofit organizations today to figure out how we can best support the communities impacted by these fires,” hoping to make “a meaningful difference for those who need it most.”“We’re in this together, LA,” she concluded. “Hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight.
