‘General Hospital’ Recap Tuesday, January 14: Sasha Blasts Willow, Drew’s Reality Check, Carly Barred From Michael

Is it just me, or is General Hospital moving at warp speed these days? These episodes are jam-packed with twists and turns. A lot of fans have mentioned thinking that the cast is a bit too big but nearly everyone is onscreen and involved somehow. So here we go, let’s recap Tuesday, January 14th’s episode!

The episode opened with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) reconnecting with Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins), fresh off of her disastrous trip to Prague. Lulu explains how wonderful it was to finally find and hug her daughter.

Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez), before the reunion was ruined by a sniper’s bullet. Lulu explains how Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) had followed her to Prague and it compromised the situation because she promised to come by herself.General Hospital Recap: Michael Survives and Wakes Up

After the sniper missed their shot, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) took Charlotte and ran. Lulu fears that the two are even deeper underground.

Tracy’s feelings are hurt because Lulu bailed out on the whole family for Christmas, and she can’t help but get a few digs in. Lulu asks her for money so that she can go back to Prague in search of her daughter. Tracy eventually tells her that when and if she has a credible lead, then she will provide resources.

General Hospital Recap Lucky Spencer Suspicious

Meanwhile, Lucky Spencer is starting to put the pieces together about Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). First, he tried to make medical decisions for Lulu without the family’s consent while she was in a coma and now he just seems to have an aura of death around him.

Cyrus has been masquerading as a changed man of God for the last year, working with the Redemption Center’s outreach program. His territory seems to be General Hospital, where people are dying from Digitalis overdoses.

Lucky has a conversation with Tanya Morris, one of the supervisors at the Redemption Center, who he bumps into at the hospital. She praises Cyrus’ work and the donations that he has helped to raise for the center. Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) gets off the hospital elevator and overhears this conversation and jumps into it.

She sits with Lucky and tells him about her chat with Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) the day before. Felicia finally remembered Cyrus ringing the Christmas bell at Rice Plaza during the tree lighting, and how the bell stopped as Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) was being stabbed. The two realize they both believe that Cyrus is becoming a suspect.

GH Nina Reeves Tells Drew Quartermaine Some Hard Truths

Finally, that confrontation between Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) has arrived. He bangs on Nina’s door and the battle is on. He claims he is there to support her daughter, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), after completely blowing up her life. Nina says that if Willow isn’t ashamed yet she eventually will be for stooping to Drew’s level. He preaches about being honest and Nina asks if she missed the part where he told Willow that he was having sex with her mother.

Speaking of Willow, after reaching a custody deal with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), she heads to the boathouse to pick up her kids, Wylie and Amelia. She allowed them to see their father, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), in the burn unit of General Hospital in exchange for custody.

While getting the kids ready to go back to Nina’s house, she has a tearful conversation with Wylie. She explains that Michael is in the hospital and that’s why they can’t see him right now. As they are getting ready to leave, Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) knocks on the door with a nanny and directs the kids to the main Quartermaine house for homemade cookies.

General Hospital Sasha Gilmore Blasts Willow Corinthos

Things quickly turn volatile as Willow explains why she can take the kids, and that Michael was used as a bargaining chip. Sasha, who is carrying Michael’s baby, is absolutely horrified and goes in on the fake holier-than-thou Willow. The two run down the list of each other’s lies and transgressions so meticulously that it’s hard to believe that they were once friends. I’m also not sure how Sasha didn’t drop the baby bomb on Willow.

Despite Sonny, Carly, and Willow working out an agreement, Tracy refuses to allow the children to leave with Willow. Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) shows up at the Quartermaines as Willow’s attorney, demanding that Tracy hand over Wylie and Amelia, but it is pointless, she refuses despite not having custody.

Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) visits Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) to tell her about narrowly saving Michael from a Digitalis overdose while in the burn unit. This pretty much confirms that someone is intentionally killing people with the drug, but who could it be? As they ponder the question, Lucky walks in with the information that he learned about Cyrus. He brings Liz and Lucas up to speed and they are trying to figure out why Cyrus would do it and what connects the dots.

Carly is holding vigil outside Michael’s hospital room with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). She tells Jason how much Michael has always looked up to him and they discuss possible treatments for him later on after he is out of danger.

At the same time, Dante and Sonny are in the chapel discussing the tragedies surrounding the family lately when Nina bursts in.

She explains that Tracy is refusing to surrender the children and that he needs to go and get the kids. Felicia then appears and tells Carly and Jason that they have to leave Michael’s ICU immediately. It is clear that Tracy’s interference caused Willow to use her power of medical attorney to have his parents removed from the hospital.

With so many loose ends hanging, tomorrow is going to be crazy!
