EastEnders star Patsy Palmer has said it is a ‘huge blessing’ that her house has so far survived the LA wildfires.
The actress, who is best known for her role as Bianca Jackson on the BBC soap, resides in Malibu with her family after relocating to the US 10 years ago.
Patsy shared an update with fans on Monday evening, as fires continue to sweep through huge parts of LA, destroying homes and neighbourhoods.
Posting on her Instagram Story, she wrote: ‘Why our house survived in the Franklin fire and again in this one but our neighbours’ didn’t is so hard to know.
‘It’s a huge blessing for us right now but such a sadness for me & my family for too many friends and neighbours to imagine.’
‘The enormity is starting to hit home,’ she continued.
‘I can’t think about another few days of high winds and potentially more fire. WTF. People are still missing. The poor nameless people that would be homeless and have no paperwork of who they are. It’s beyond belief.’
On Tuesday morning, Patsy – who is currently in the UK filming another guest stint on EastEnders – said she was sending all her ‘protection energy’ ahead of more winds, which risk spreading fires further.
‘Please protect our family, friends, pets & our home in the next few days,’ she said.
Patsy is currently back on screen as Bianca after reprising her role in EastEnders in 2024.
She first played the character in 1993 before leaving the soap in 1999. She then had another stint in Walford between 2008 and 2014.
