Next week on EastEnders, Peter makes another discovery after Cindy wakes up from her coma, while Denise and Ravi are caught out and Sonia’s murder trial
takes an unexpected turn.

1. Lauren is arrested
With Cindy awake from her coma, she wants answers about why she is in hospital. She gets emotional when Peter is hesitant to answer her questions about the family. Meanwhile, Anna returns to Walford to tell the Knights about Cindy’s progress.
When Cindy is interviewed by DCI Arthurs, she is shocked to find out that she was likely attacked by someone she knows. She then receives more visitors and is hostile towards Lauren when she turns up with Peter. Later, the police arrive at The Vic and arrest Lauren for Cindy’s attempted murder.
2. Denise and Ravi are caught
As Denise and Ravi continue their secret relationship, they are almost caught in the act by Chelsea and Kim. Denise invites Jack and the Brannings to Raymond’s birthday party – and Nigel manages to get Phil an invite as well.
Ravi grows jealous of Jack at the party, but the celebrations are ruined when Phil clashes with Denise, who is frustrated with his selfish behaviour. Ravi and Denise later sneak off for a secret tryst, but they are caught kissing by Nugget.

3. Sonia’s trial gets derailed
Martin suggests to Reiss that they share a cab to court for Sonia’s trial, but he refuses, and instead heads to the prison to visit his fiancée himself. Sonia begs Reiss to help prove her innocence and also tells him how important it is to her that Bianca is there to support her – unaware that he currently has her imprisoned in a lock-up.
When Sonia gets to court, she finds that neither Reiss or Bianca are there. Later in the week, Martin goes to see Reiss and tells him that Sonia’s trial has been adjourned because of his actions. What has Reiss done, and what does this mean for Sonia?
4. Nicola sees red
New couple Teddy and Sharon head off on a spa break together, and Nicola is left furious, amid her plans to get her ex-husband back. What will she do next?

Lauren is questioned at the police station about the events of Christmas Day, after what Cindy said about her. When Peter finds out that Lauren was arrested because of Cindy’s statement, he asks his mum to take it back. But later, he gets a shock when Lauren tells him what really happened on the night of the attack.
This revelation creates conflict between Peter and Lauren, and leaves to see Cindy in the hospital. When she is told that she will be discharged tomorrow, Peter vows to find her a place to stay – but this proves tricky when Ian refuses his request. He manages to trick Reiss into giving Cindy his spare room, but soon things get even worse for Peter. What else is he faced with?
6. Denise and Jack get closer
As Ravi tries to keep Nugget quiet, Denise heads home and panics that she will lose her family if her secret affair is exposed. Jack mistakenly believes that she is upset because of Phil and offers his support – but this leads to another argument between Denise and Phil.
Ravi spots Denise and Jack looking close and gets even more jealous. He confronts her and makes it clear that he won’t be her dirty little secret for much longer.
7. Nigel gets some advice
After Nigel confides in Yolande about why he has really returned to Walford, she continues to support him. She provides him with a shoulder to cry on but urges him to tell Phil about what is going on with his health. Will Nigel be honest with Phil?
8. Jack plays the hero
Jack asks Denise to have lunch with him but she turns him down and says they shouldn’t blur the lines of their friendship – a conversation that is overheard by Nicola. Denise explains to Ravi that she isn’t interested in Jack romantically, but she isn’t ready to go public with him as she is scared of losing Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Jack drowns his sorrows in Harry’s Barn, but he witnesses some men harassing Chelsea. The situation escalates when Jack gets involved and he gets punched. Nicola sends the men away and allows Jack to get cleaned up in her office.
The next day, Denise thanks Jack for defending Chelsea, and invites him out for a drink. Are there still feelings between the pair?
9. Ruby feels left out
Ruby encourages Martin to follow up with the council about their plans for Bridge Street Market. He takes action but later reveals that he has only got tonight to put together a case to present to the council on behalf of the traders. Stacey agrees to help Martin, and Ruby feels left out.
She isn’t happy when she discovers the pair talking happily about the market project the next day. Mr Lister then arrives with news from the council. What have they decided?
10. Cindy comes home
Cindy leaves hospital, but on her return to Albert Square she faces hostility from all sides, especially from Ian. To make matters worse, she struggles to adapt to living with her unlikely new housemate Reiss.
With his ex-wife back in Walford, George is on edge, while Anna speaks to Gina about her own concerns. Meanwhile, Peter struggles to support Lauren and Cindy at the same time. Was Lauren really responsible for Cindy’s attack?
