General Hospital star Rick Hearst shared some fun glimpses into his New Year’s Eve festivities in a new social media post. He revealed something interesting about himself in the process.

Fantastic Homemade Pizza

Recently, Hearst took to his Instagram page to show fans how he rang in the New Year.

In the caption he wrote, “Low key fun with the family on New Year’s Eve.” He added hashtags embracing the new year as well as ones indicating he was a “Pizza Lover” and was living “Jersey Life.”

The first short video in the post showed the soap star taking a homemade pizza out of the oven. It was obvious this was not Hearst’s first time doing this. He joked that nobody needs to go to a pizzeria to get great pizza when they can just head to his kitchen. Hearst showed off the perfect “undercarriage” of the finished pizza, revealing a beautifully golden crust.

Then, he noted that he likes to add fresh mozzarella and basil to the top of the pizza after it comes out of the oven. Hearst proved this tip elevated the dish from a regular cheese pizza to something extraordinary.

The GH star followed up his video with a photograph of the finished product, and it looked amazing. Hearst’s Instagram post also showed him playing a game with guests and doing the final countdown to midnight.

“We’re a very exciting group of people…It’s all about big parties at our house. This is how we throw down,” Hearst joked.

One fan left a comment asking Hearst how he gets the center of the crust crisp underneath. The GH star actually replied with some specific tips.

Other fans wished Hearst a Happy New Year and gushed over the pizza. Several also noted how glad they were his character had returned to Port Charles.b
