In 2024, Lani and Eli expressed they would be back…someday. And while we would love for their return to happen sooner rather than later, it got us thinking. Who are some other characters we would love to see return to Days of Our Lives in 2025?
Please Return in 2025
We know we’re being greedy here because, in 2025, there will be a slew of characters returning, including Sami (Alison Sweeney), Bo (Peter Reckell), and Hope (Kristian Alfonso). And, so far, we’ve already gotten Shawn (Brandon Beemer) and Belle (Martha Madison). Plus, Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) are in and out of Salem all the time. But there are more on our wish list.
Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli’s return over the holidays made us yearn for them to be back permanently. How great would it be to see them raise their twins, Jules and Carver, in Salem? Plus, these two are in the mix with the Prices/Carvers and the Hortons. Eli (Lamon Archey) could take on a senior role at the Salem PD. Also, Lani has an interesting friendship with Kristen (Stacy Haiduk). Their presence is needed.
In addition to Lani and Eli, another couple we would love to see return is Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker). These two have a knack for igniting a storm of drama when they’re together and when they’re separated. But, most of all, we want to finally see them happy raising Jude (Oliver McLarty) and being a family with Holly (Ashley Puzemis). We don’t want to hear about them. We want to see them. And Marlena (Deidre Hall) is going to need Eric in 2025. Please bring them home.
Please recast Shawn and Belle’s daughter, Claire (formerly Isabel Durant and Olivia Rose Keegan). It would be great to hear her perspective on her parents splitting up again. And it doesn’t hurt that she has a knack for getting in trouble and, more importantly, causing trouble.
Finally, Abe’s (James Reynolds) son Theo (Cameron Johnson) should make a comeback. We don’t understand why he ever left for South Africa anyway. JJ (Casey Moss) is back in town, so we would love to see Theo return in addition to Claire — the two have a history, after all. Salem needs an influx of the younger generations, but we don’t want new characters. There are plenty of people currently off the canvas who could really spice up the Salem universe, such as Theo and Claire.
