Emmerdale star Susan Cookson is set for a shocking exit soon, and it appears that she’s already filmed her final scenes.
The Sun reports that the actor, who plays Wendy Posner, has been written out of the soap and has already filmed her final scenes. It’s being
reported that the door will be left open for her to return in the future.
Susan made her first appearance as Wendy in the summer of 2019, arriving initially to defend her son Lee against rape allegations, which she later learned were true.
Wendy stayed in the village to support Victoria, after learning the truth about Lee.
Her later storylines have included a relationship with Bob Hope and an affair with Dr Liam Cavanagh.
Emmerdale recently saw the departures of Dean Andrews (Will Taylor) and Daisy Campbell (Amelia Spencer).
Speaking about her departure, Campbell said that she was feeling “mixed emotions, really. Amelia is a character that I’ve always played.
“This is my first ever job from being 7 years old, so it felt really sad, but then it was also nice to close the door and be at peace.
“It’s really upsetting because it’s all I’ve ever known, but there’ll be new things and maybe new parts next year. Who knows?”
Andrews left the soap over the Christmas period, as Will died following a heart attack at Home Farm shortly after renewing his wedding vows with Kim Tate, then arguing with her after Joe Tate returned and revealed his revenge plan.
And there are further exits to come in Emmerdale soon, with Lesley Dunlop’s (Brenda Walker) departure storyline already having begun.
Roxy Shahidi (Leyla Harding) has also been tipped to leave, with a big stunt set to air soon that she features in along with two other characters.
