However, will viewers continue to get skewed statements from the series’ most polarizing stars? Or will the newest confessionals finally expose Kody and Robyn’s lingering deception?

‘Sister Wives’ Kody and Robyn Brown have contradicted themselves for 19 seasons

The second half of Sister Wives season 19 will certainly be one of the most emotional in the series’ history. Although the reality series addressed the Brown family’s biggest heartbreak in the season opener, Sister Wives hasn’t aired the aftermath of Garrison Brown’s death.

Therefore, the season-ender should be different than years past due to the sensitive nature of the subject matter. In years prior, tell-all hosts held all the family members accountable as they faced tough questions together. However, in Sister Wives‘ later seasons, complete family sit-downs ceased and softball interviews began.

Kody and Robyn began rewriting history. They were not held accountable for their lies or questionable actions towards other members of the Brown family.

The easiest way to rectify years of Kody and Robyn painting themselves as victims is to have them face their family. But will TLC and the show’s production company have the guts to put Kody and Robyn on blast?

Season 19’s tell-all could look very different

Throughout season 19, Kody and Robyn Brown are viewed in a less favorable light. There’s a key reason why.

Tim Gibbons, who founded Puddle Monkey Productions with Christopher Poole, is no longer a part of the Sister Wives production team. Gibbons was close friends with Kody Brown. He used to live near Kody and Robyn in Flagstaff, Arizona but after separating himself from the Sister Wives franchise, has reportedly moved to Salt Lake City, Utah full-time.

Therefore, it would make sense and probably give the show its best tell-all ratings in years, if the entire Brown family had a face-off. It should be a requirement of their TLC contract. But does Kody hold all the cards when it comes to how he and Robyn are portrayed?

In a Reddit post, viewers shared their thoughts about the potential for shaking up season 19’s season-ender. They believe it’s about time.

“I think that TLC should make it part of their contract that if he wants the show to continue he has to start answering more serious questions,” wrote one viewer. A second penned, “They make the 90 Day people answer everything. Sounds like they need some personnel changes.”

A third claimed, “Narcissists don’t bend no matter what. Their egos are too big, the narrative is too strong. I have a feeling that Kody would walk away from 5 million dollars in cash, versus having to say on camera to the world that he was wrong and mistreated these women and favored Robyn.”

Finally, a fourth fan deduced, “I wish that they would be able to show clips of him contradicting himself in real time. I know it’s a tall order because there’s so much to choose from at the moment but just once I would love to hear his answer and the host says, “It’s interesting you say that because in season ___, episode ___ you said [this]. Let’s take a look.”
