Coronation Street‘s Leanne Battersby has finally been caught out.
Leanne’s sister Toyah Habeeb and ex-partner Nick Tilsley declared war against her in Monday’s episode after realising that she was plotting against them.
Viewers have seen Leanne turn ruthless by trying to frame Toyah for fraud. She came up with the vengeful plan after realising that Toyah and Nick were still seeing each
other behind her back.
Leanne’s scheme saw her set up a bank account in Toyah’s name and fund it with unauthorised payments from the Bistro business account.
Monday’s episode saw Leanne’s plan finally come to fruition as the police arrested Toyah on suspicion of theft and fraud.
During questioning, Toyah was confused over who could have opened the fake account with so much personal information about her.
However, when DC Kit Green mentioned that a password attached to the account was ‘Rose2001’, it dawned on Toyah that Leanne had stooped to shocking lengths to set her up.
Fighting back, Toyah promised Nick that she’d never steal from the Bistro and tried to warn him that Leanne had orchestrated everything. She was dismayed as Nick seemed unsure over who to believe.

Later, Nick openly quizzed Leanne about Toyah’s theory and carefully observed her reaction to the allegation. Forced to choose between the Battersby sisters, Nick openly backed Leanne and made it clear that Toyah wasn’t welcome at the Bistro until the matter was resolved.
Just when things were looking bleak for Toyah, though, Nick paid a secret visit to her at her hotel room. The pair were revealed to still be strong and united, having tricked Leanne with their earlier bust-up.
Nick vowed: “We’ve got to make sure she doesn’t get away with this. Play her at her own game.”
Toyah agreed: “I wish it hadn’t come to this, but this is war.”
Can Toyah prove her innocence to the police before things get any worse?
