Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Sophia Choi’s (Madelyn Kientz) problems are about to get

even worse thanks to a looming debut. Back in July, CDL reported on some behind-the-scenes cast leaks

– including the addition of Shi Ne Nielson.

At the time, we speculated that Nielson could be playing Sophia’s mother. Now there’s confirmation that Nielson is indeed playing Sophia’s mom, Amy Choi.

DOOL fans can expect Shi Ne Nielson to make her first appearance as Amy on December 31, so there’s a good chance Sophia’s year is about to end with some fireworks!

Since Sophia is pregnant, she’s got a real dilemma on her hands. Sophia can’t get an abortion without her parents’ consent in the state she lives in – and she knows her parents would never go for the idea since they’re super strict and conservative.

Amy doesn’t know that Sophia has even kissed a boy – let alone slept with one and conceived a baby with him!

Tate Black (Leo Howard) plans to drive Sophia out of state and help her handle all this, but Days spoilers say Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) will manage to make a mess of things.

It sounds like Holly will inadvertently lead to Sophia’s pregnancy news leaking, so this could set off quite the chain reaction.

Amy is bound to find out that Sophia has Tate’s bun in the oven, so she’ll be livid over her daughter derailing her future like this.

Sophia should end up getting a lecture and an order to keep the baby since Amy doesn’t believe in terminating pregnancies.

Days spoilers say Amy will inevitably unleash her wrath, so Tate will get stuck in the middle of all the conflict.

Tate may feel the need to defend Sophia and argue that she should be allowed to make the choice she wants for herself.

As for Shi Ne Nielson, you might recognize her from roles on Grey’s Anatomy, Into the Dark, the Charmed reboot and more.

Nielson also played a nurse on Days briefly back in 2005 – and she had a short run as Detective Sheryl Gordon on The Young and the Restless in 2013.
