While Leo Stark tends to rant and ramble, spewing a million words a minute, some of those words make actual sense. After all, he’s now the head writer of a soap opera. And he’s been a loser at love more often than not. So
when he tells Holly that her relationship with Tate isn’t going to be the painless existence they hope it will be? Well, she had better listen intently because the lightning bolt struck at the end of the Thursday, December 19
episode of Days of Our Lives. And her relationship with Tate is about to get hard.
The road to bliss for Tate (Leo Howard) and Holly (Ashley Puzemis) has been paved with potholes, sinkholes, and plenty of speed bumps, mostly due to Holly’s shenanigans. She had a crush on older guy Johnny (Carson Boatman). Then she overdosed, and when she woke up from her coma, she kept quiet about her misdeeds and let Tate take the rap.
More recently, she didn’t support Tate after his dad allegedly drunk-drove the car that hit and paralyzed Sarah (Linsey Godfrey). In fact, she turned into Nancy Drew to get the goods on Brady (Eric Martsolf). It didn’t work. In fact, it backfired on her spectacularly and helped cement Tate and Sophia’s subsequent connection.
Major Obstacle Alert
And now that connection has resulted in a life-changing announcement for Tate and, ultimately, Holly. Sophia (Madelyn Kientz) showed up at the very end of the Thursday episode with one doozy of a confession.
She looked worried and a little scared but didn’t beat around the bush. She immediately told Tate she was pregnant, leaving him stunned.
When Holly came back from Paris earlier this year, Tate had to decide who he wanted to be with — Holly or Sophia — and initially chose Sophia. He didn’t want to hurt her because she had been there for him, plus they had taken their relationship to the next level. He didn’t want to come off like a jerk.
So Sophia showing up like this with such game-changing news means Tate will support her. After all, it takes two to tango, and he is (mostly) a good guy.
However, Holly doesn’t always take the mature route. Will she finally take the opportunity to support Tate and listen to how he wants to handle this Sophia situation? Or will she do what she often does and think about herself and how this sudden obstacle affects her? Will Tate even tell Holly right away?
If he does, she will have to realize that her relationship with Tate will have to change quickly and potentially drastically. Leo (Greg Rikaart) warned her to enjoy this happiness while it lasts.
ETC.
UGH, is Doug (Peyton Meyer) now attempting to sell the necklace with Leo’s help? We need to find out why he’s in such dire need of money. Hopefully, that will happen soon. Also, Javi’s (Al Calderon) Bennifer comment did NOT age well.

And will Julie (Susan Seaforth) try to tolerate Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) if she and JJ (Casey Moss) reunite? Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) and Chad (Billy Flynn) had a nice, civil conversation. It seems like Chad has softened his stance with her. Also, did anybody else find it weird when she said Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) told her where to find Chad? Jennifer JUST slapped the woman! Why would Jennifer tell Cat anything?
