EastEnders star Heather Peace has teased a new, hopeful direction for Eve Unwin and Suki Panesar’s romance in their upcoming festive storyline.
Peace appeared on Out with Kathy with Kathy Caton yesterday (December 18) and shared her hopes for the couple in the new year despite Suki’s abusive ex-husband Nish Panesar may have one
more trick up his sleeve.
“They’ve been on such a rollercoaster,” Peace said, adding that Nish is “a very dangerous man”.
Eve and Suki are on track to tie the knot on New Year’s Day, but Nish’s dramatic escape from prison could spell trouble for the couple.
“New Year’s is the wedding, or is it?” teased Peace.
“It’s a case of ‘Will they make it? Will Nish make his final card play?'” she continued.
“If they make it, I would like to see then where that goes,” Peace continued. “Because there has forever been the shadow of Nish [over the whole story].”
“Suki and Eve have just been this kind of romance on the surface of [Nish’s abuse],” she said.
“I’m ready to delve into who these two are as people together now… if they make it.”
EastEnders is gearing up to air a dramatic wedding on the Square, as Suki gets cold feet when the police alert her there’s been a sighting of Nish in Walford.
Will she go through with the ceremony?
