Coronation Street‘s David Platt starts to plot his revenge against Kit Green later this month.
David returns to his old scheming ways as he plans big trouble which could jeopardise Kit’s career.
The ITV soap recently revealed that David’s wife Shona had secretly betrayed him by spending the night with Kit at a hotel.
Shona sought comfort from Kit after discovering that David had blocked her access to her jailed son Clayton Hibbs and manipulated her to cover his tracks.
Despite this, Shona now regrets her actions and is determined to keep it all under wraps.
Over the Christmas period, David pursues his mistaken theory that Adam Barlow is Shona’s mystery man.
This leads to disaster for Adam, as an argument with David culminates in him falling down a set of stairs.
However, in scenes airing from Monday, December 30, it’s Kit’s turn to face the wrath of David.
There’s trouble on the cobbles as a public row breaks out between Kit and David.
Kit’s mum Bernie Winter tries to intervene, reminding him that David was a good friend to Kit’s late brother Paul and deserves better than this.
David returns home to find Max and Lily both demanding answers over the recent family dramas.
Sharing some insight, Shona explains how David started all of the problems by stopping her from seeing Clayton when he clearly needed her.
Later, David approaches Kit with a sneaky plan, hoping to trick him into confessing to breaking the police’s rules regarding the Nathan Curtis case.

Kit isn’t fooled so easily and retaliates by trying to take the law into his own hands once again. Could this new feud spiral out of control?
Jack P Shepherd, who plays David, recently told Digital Spy and other press: “I think David will react in a way where he’ll have to try and get his own back on Kit somehow. He’ll have to try to do it in a clever way.
“With Kit being six foot taller than David, he won’t be able to take him on physically! It’ll have to be something that he does mentally. He’ll do something to mess Kit’s life up somehow. That’s what he’ll do – definitely.”
