Nish Panesar made a desperate plea to Nugget Gulati on EastEnders as he continued to remain hidden in Walford.
Nish recently escaped prison after learning that his ex-wife Suki is planning on marrying Eve Unwin, with the villain hiding out in an empty flat as the police search for him.
Monday’s (December 9) episode saw Nish turn to family as he texted his grandson Nugget to meet him at the secret location, though the youngster was initially sceptical of his grandfather’s
intentions and trustworthiness.
Nish eventually got through to Nugget as he convinced him to bring him some food and water, with Tuesday’s (December 10) instalment beginning as Nugget bemoaned the situation they both found themselves in.
After Nugget remarked that Nish “belonged” in prison, Nish explained that he needed his family beside him in his final moments rather than prison guards. Later on, Nish detailed his familial history of male cruelty, explaining how each generation affected the next.
“I love you. I love my family. Maybe I never knew enough about love to show it properly,” reasoned Nish, adding that he could only die happy if his family “weren’t scared” of him whilst also “feeling his love”.
An unconvinced Nugget departed but left the door open for a return as he said he would drop by the following day, before he faced questions from his father Ravi regarding his whereabouts. Nugget lied by saying he had been with a girl, with Ravi dubious as to his reasoning.

Ravi added that the family couldn’t be “normal” given the situation with Nish, with Nugget explaining that, despite his previous actions, he was still his grandfather and that he wasn’t “scared” of him.
Will Nugget’s meetings with Nish be discovered, and are Nish’s intentions pure?
