EastEnders‘ Nish Panesar has gained a new ally following his escape from prison.
Nish was imprisoned last month after pleading guilty to the murder of Keanu Taylor, despite it
being Linda Carter who fatally stabbed him last Christmas.
After learning that his ex-wife Suki was planning on getting married to Eve Unwin, Nish paid a prison
guard to tell his family that he only had days to live.
When Ravi refused to help his father, Nish took matters into his own hands and planned a prison escape. While being taken to a hospice, two armed men stopped the ambulance and Nish was able to escape.
Tonight’s (December 9) episode saw the police continue their search for Nish, who is currently hiding out in an empty flat in Walford.
Suki gathered the family at Number 41, and urged them to be “careful” and “vigilant” while Nish was on the loose.
Nugget then received a text from his grandfather, asking him to come to the flat. After arriving, Nugget was shocked to find Nish collapsed on an old mattress.
Nish asked Nugget for his help, as he continued to get weaker. “I know I’ve let you down, but I wasn’t lying to you. Look at me, I couldn’t hurt you if I tried. I’m a sick man,” he said.
“You’re well enough to escape prison though, right?” replied a suspicious Nugget. “I’ve always stuck up for you, despite everything, despite everyone. And they were right, weren’t they?”
Nugget then accused his grandad of not being able to “handle” Suki’s upcoming nuptials, before threatening to call the police.
“I’m the one who’s scared,” Nish responded, revealing that he wanted to die close to his loved ones, instead of behind bars.
“I don’t want your help with any revenge mission. I called you because I’m desperate,” he added.
It seemed Nish’s pleas got through to Nugget, as he was later seen stealing a sandwich and a bottle of water from the Minute Mart for him. What will Nish do next?
