EastEnders has aired a sinister return after Suki Panesar and Eve Unwin’s romantic reunion in the show’s latest episode.
Last month, Eve found out about Suki and Stacey’s involvement in Keanu’s death, when grieving Bernie told her the truth.
Devastated that her fiancée kept her in the dark, Eve called off her engagement to Suki and left to stay in Brighton for a while.
In today’s episode, Suki decided against going to Nish’s plea hearing, but Vinny wanted to go to provide updates for the family.
Eve returned to Walford and quickly made amends with Stacey, realising that she was in an impossible situation. However, despite Stacey’s protests, she wasn’t willing to show the same grace to Suki.
Suki found Eve collecting the rest of her things from the Panesars’ house and suggested that they talk. But when Suki admitted that she doesn’t regret lying, Eve stormed out.
In The Vic, Stacey spoke to Eve and explained that Suki was just trying to protect her when it comes to Keanu. She encouraged her to give Suki another chance, saying that life is too short.
At the Square’s Christmas lights switch-on, Vinny confirmed to Suki that Nish had pleaded guilty to Keanu’s murder.
Eve reached out to Suki, but when she didn’t want to talk, she grabbed the microphone and made an emotional speech in front of the crowd about forgiveness and being with the people you love.
The grand gesture worked, and as Walford was officially lit up, Suki and Eve shared a kiss and reunited in heartwarming scenes.
With the wedding officially back on, the family returned to the house to celebrate. But Nugget held back after receiving a phone call – from none other than Nish.
He was disappointed that his grandson hadn’t attended today’s hearing, and even more so that Suki was a no-show. Nish then heard Eve in the background and was devastated to find out that the wedding was still going ahead.
Despite suggestions from actor Navin Chowdhry that we had seen the last of Nish at Halloween, his work is in fact not yet done – and it looks like he still has revenge on his mind.
Although he’s now in prison and facing a murder charge, what will Nish’s next move be?
