Coronation Street airs a dramatic car crash next month as Debbie Webster’s vehicle gets stolen.
Debbie is targeted by a thief amid rising tensions with Daniel Osbourne.
In upcoming scenes, Debbie and Daniel unexpectedly fall out and struggle to resolve their issues.
Things only get worse when Daniel’s young son Bertie runs across the street without looking, forcing Debbie to slam on her
brakes to avoid hitting him.
The incident worsens the existing problems between Debbie and Daniel. In concerning scenes, Daniel’s dark side re-emerges as he turns nasty with Debbie.
Debbie’s brother Kevin steps in and warns Daniel to stay away from Debbie. As Daniel continues to lose his temper, Jenny Connor and Daisy Midgeley are forced to intervene, ordering him to go home.
When Daisy heads out of the pub not long afterwards, she’s shocked to spot Debbie’s car speeding past. The incident leads to a shocking crash.
Later in the week, the circumstances surrounding the crash remain a mystery as Debbie discovers that her car has been found burned out.
To make matters worse, Debbie is informed that she won’t be able to make an insurance claim as she’d left her keys in the car.
Meanwhile, Shona Platt informs solicitor Adam Barlow that she has injured her arm after nearly being run over. The accident is linked to the theft of Debbie’s vehicle.
At the police station, Craig Tinker is intrigued by this revelation and tells DC Kit Green that the case seems to be far from closed.
Determined to get some answers, Craig makes a phone call to double-check some CCTV footage.
Kit jumps in to cut off the call and warns Craig that he’s in charge of this case. But why is Kit trying to cover up the truth?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, December 9 and Wednesday, December 11 on ITV1 and ITVX.
