General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has been trying to get closer to Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue), but his progress has been slow. Natalia has been a bit wary of heading into romantic territory with Sonny, so these two haven’t been in any hurry to hit the sheets.

Of course, many fans would be fine with Sonny and Natalia never taking that step at all!

Natalia honestly feels like an unnecessary character at this point – not to mention she arguably has no chemistry with Sonny.

It’s possible that GH writers will pivot to a different pairing at some point.

Sonny has certainly been known to drift back toward his exes, so what if he collides with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) for some new passion?

After all, Nina and Sonny may soon have a reason to bond. Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) are having major marriage problems that may get even worse soon.

Willow kissed Drew on more than one occasion and then hooked up with him, so she’s made some betrayal blunders.

Michael has made some mistakes of his own since he slept with Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson).

Plus, Willow and Michael are still keeping huge secrets from each other, so their marriage will fall apart if they stay on this dishonest road.

If Michael and Willow are headed for a divorce, Sonny and Nina might reconnect over the family crisis.

Nina and Sonny could end up worrying about how their children will cope with the potential split on the horizon.

Naturally, Sonny and Nina could fret over their grandkids as well since a divorce would definitely affect Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Corinthos (Sequoia and Serenity Mork Macko).

Natalia was previously concerned about Sonny’s lingering connection to his exes, so she may watch him drift toward a former flame eventually.

Even if Sonny doesn’t fully reunite with Nina, he could land back in bed with her and make things complicated.

Nina could easily wash her hands of Drew once she gets updates on him sleeping with Willow and blowing up her marriage.

Maybe Nina will trade Drew’s bed for Sonny’s once they’re comforting each other over Willow and Michael’s crumbling family news.
