General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that fans tend to remember their favorite performers long after they’re gone. Brandon Barash played Johnny Zacchara on GH from 2007 to 2016, but his
presence in Port Charles is still missed to this day.
Now that Barash’s exit from Days of Our Lives has been confirmed, we know he’s not locked into playing Stefan DiMera anymore.
Barash wrapped filming at Days earlier this year, but his final DOOL appearance will air on October 28.
Of course, Brandon Barash’s Days departure has made quite a splash in the soap world.
It’s led to renewed hope for fans that still want to see Johnny Zacchara back in Port Charles.
Johnny went to Pentonville at the end of his GH stint, but the show’s been handing out prison releases lately.
Steven Webber (Scott Reeves) finally got out of the slammer – and now Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) a free woman as well.
We could certainly envision an exciting return arc for Johnny, who would no doubt clash with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) again.
Johnny could heat up his rivalry with Sonny once more and set the stage for some gripping drama.
Since Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) is going to awaken from her coma soon, that presents an interesting opportunity, too.
Johnny and Lulu had a romance once upon a time, so maybe they could start something back up.
Our predictions point to Lulu and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) having a reunion of their own eventually, but Dante will need some time to grieve the loss of Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and find a way to move on.
Johnny could come back on the scene and steal Lulu’s heart in the meantime – or maybe there could be a love triangle with Johnny, Lulu and Dante somewhere down the line.
Regardless, it’d be great to see Brandon Barash reprise the role of Johnny Zacchara, so we’ll see what might happen now that his Days exit has become such a hot topic. Do you think it’d be smart for GH to snatch Barash back up?
General Hospital spoilers say more cast changes could be in the works, so stay tuned for updates on any big comings and goings news.
